The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a full time fellowship trained faculty member in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). This is a unique opportunity to join a new medical school and residency program in OB/Gyn and a planned residency program in Urology. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a newly created FPMRS Division led by a fellowship trained FPMRS attending. As a Department, our goal is to expand the clinical practice across the Valley and develop the FPMRS educational and scholarly activities for medical students and OB/Gyn and Urology residents. There will be ample opportunity for involvement in scholarly activities including curriculum development and clinical research.

The position will be based at the Doctor's Hospital Renaissance (DHR) in Edinburg, Texas, the primary teaching site for the new UTRGV-SOM Ob/Gyn residency program.

Current Board certification by the American Board of Ob/Gyn, or be an active candidate within three years of residency, possess or be eligible for a Texas medical license, and qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Ob/Gyn UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments. Demonstration of strong commitment to the education of residents and medical students is essential.
