Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas Start Date: January 19, 2026 Location: Brownsville, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; two weekends per schedule required; no on-call Highlights: 22-bed Emergency Department with comprehensive emergency services High-acuity setting handling trauma, cardiac alerts, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis patients EMR system: Meditech Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support and dedicated ER techs No floating required – dedicated ER assignment Contract start date: January 19, 2026 Requirements: Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required Strong triage and critical thinking skills with ESI guideline knowledge Experience with trauma and cardiac alert protocols including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Meditech experience preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department where you'll utilize your advanced emergency nursing skills daily.
